The effects of Caffeine on Human body

Many of us rely on a morning coffee cup or an afternoon jolt of caffeine to help us get through the day. But caffeine doesn’t keep you awake, much more. It is a stimulant of the central nervous system which affects your body in many ways. The nutritional value of caffeine on its own is not present. This is tasteless, so if that is your food you won’t necessarily know. Without your knowledge, even some drugs may contain caffeine.

You may at least feel stronger, but over time, too much caffeine may produce symptoms of withdrawal. Caffeine serves as a stimulant of the central nervous system. The most striking effect is alertness when it reaches your brain. Studies show that people who regularly drink coffee have a lower risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia and a 45 percent reduction in the risk of suicide. These advantages are only for people who drink high-octane and not decaf coffee. Your body also does not store extra caffeine. The liver is processed and leaves the urine. Caffeine can cause a short period of your blood pressure to rise. Caffeine can also cause your muscles to tweak if you consume too much.

Caffeine overdose may cause heartbeats and breathing difficulties quickly or irregularly. In rare cases, an overdose of caffeine could lead to death from convulsions or heartbeat.
